Limestone Dryer Introduction

FTM Limestone dryer, also commonly known as limestone drying machine, has broad applications such as cement industry, metallurgy, building materials, mineral processing, and chemical industry, etc. It can be used for drying slag, calcium carbide slag, limestone,clay, sand, quartz sand, slag and other materials. Limestone dryer is applied to multiple burners: high temperature fluidized furnace, coal powder furnace as well as hand fired furnace. It is the capable of disposing various materials with high humidity and large ratio like slag, limestone, clay, sand, quartz sand, water, coal slurry, sludge and so on.

Limestone Dryer Principle

1. The limestone is firstly sent into the hopper by belt conveyor or bucket elevator. Then the materials enter the charging pipe via the charger. Afterwards they get to the feed end.

2.The inclination of the charging pipe should be larger than the natural slope of materials to ensure that the materials go into the dryer smoothly.

3. There exists a certain inclination between the rotating drum and the horizontal line. Materials enter from the higher end, while the heat carrier enters from the lower end.  Also there is a circumstance that the materials and the heat medium contact to each other by parallel flow.

4. The materials move forward in the rotating drum under gravity. The heat is transferred to the materials directly or indirectly and they get dried. Afterwards they are transported out at the discharge end by belt conveyor or screw conveyor.

5. Lifting board is attached to the walls of the drum, which kicks up and scatter materials to extend the contact area of materials and air flow, raising the drying efficiency and pushing materials forwards.

6. After the heat carrier(hot air or stack air) works, the materials inside the exhaust gas will be collected by the cyclone dust collector. If further disposal is needed to reduce  dust content, the exhaust gas needs to be disposed by bag filter or hydrofilter.
